We will celebrate the Twenty-Second (22nd) Anniversary of the Piedmont Racing Expo and Auction January 18-19, 2008 in the 50,000 sq. ft. Exposition Center on the NC State Fairgrounds. We invite you to join us in our third decade of servicing short-track racers across the Southeast US including racers from NC, SC, Virginia, Maryland, Georgia, West Virginia, Florida, and Tennessee.
Our shows are well respected in racing circles and our event is the second-longest running annual auction and trade show in the Southeast United States. Phillip Walker, promoter and auctioneer, is no stranger to racing, motor-sports auctions, and racing parts. The 20 year veteran racer holds three track championships, owned a racing parts distributorship for 10 years, and has over 20 years of motor-sports auctioneering experience.

Please accept this as an invitation to participate in our
upcoming Racing Expo & Auction. Our 22nd Annual Piedmont Racing Expo &
Auction will be held at the NC State Fairgrounds, Raleigh NC, Jan. 18-19,
2008.
Last year, was our largest trade show ever with over ninety 10'x10' booths filled by over forty vendors! We already have many new exhibitors signed up for this year’s tradeshow and expect our 2008 event to be ever larger! We’re in hopes of having some special appearances by some racing personalities, but have yet to get commitments due to driver schedules not being finalized.
For racing related vendors, this event has traditionally been an exceptional venue to liquidate new old stock, seconds, blems, returned stock, and experimental stock items. Auctioning new products is also good advertising for your merchandise. Selling with us will give your company more market exposure with our targeted motor-sports audience.
We are also working with vendors who have Co-Op Advertising Programs and welcome the opportunity to discuss this with you company in order to give your company or organization more exposure. Many of these include your company’s name and/or logo being in printed ads and press releases, radio and TV commercials, as well as on our Piedmont Racing Expo Show Car which will be appearing at many end of season races, swapmeets, car shows, and other high performance venues.
Please find enclosed or attached, a draft auction brochure outlining our event. If you’re interested in participating and can commit with a signed contract and deposit, every effort will be made to include your company name in all our pre-event press releases and advertising.

TOP TEN METHODS OF IMPROVING YOUR
SHOW PRODUCTIVITY
As promoters, auctioneers, and exhibitors, we all want to sell more, see more people, obtain and retain more customers, and be more successful. Here are some great ideas to increase your show productivity while exhibiting at our Racer’s Auction and Trade Shows:
1. Introduce a new product at the show and publicize that you’ll have it!
2. Advertise your special show prices and products in advance. And…make them “Show Only” prices.
3. Demonstrate something. People enjoy watching and seeing how something works.
4. Send special cards to your own customers and prospects about the upcoming show and that you’ll be there with new products for the upcoming racing season.
5. Look Happy, Be Happy! Even if you’re not. People avoid hang-dog faces!
6. Dress in your company colors and/or Show Shirts.
7. Offer service, advice, and a friendly face. Know that people always return to places where they felt welcome and special
8. Have a video running in your booth. It’s a great way to interest potential customers about your products and services, while you’re waiting on someone else.
9. Have a drawing for a special item. Its an excellent method of developing a mailing list. Make sure the prize relates to your business.
10. Help people remember you with a personalized sample of your product or a useful item like a pen or pencil, and most of all, have them leave with your business card.

2008 Exhibitor Contract
The Exhibitor listed below (hereinafter referred to as “Exhibitor”) hereby agrees to the following terms and conditions for the 22nd. Annual Piedmont Racing Expo & Auction, (hereinafter referred to as “Event”) as set forth in this contract by Walker Auctions, LLC, a North Carolina LLC, d/b/a Phillip Walker Auctions, (hereinafter referred to as “Promoter”) for expo/trade show sponsorship and/or exhibit space.
This contract shall be in affect for the following event(s):

Exhibitor will setup from Noon – 8 PM on Thursday prior to the event (preferred for Bulk Space Exhibitors or those with trailers or vehicles in their exhibit) or Friday 8AM – 12 Noon on Friday for all others. Teardown will be permitted after 4 PM on Saturday, unless otherwise designated by the Promoter. Premises must be vacated no later than 9:30 PM on Saturday.
A non-refundable deposit of Fifty Percent (50%) of rental payment and signed contract is required to reserve sponsorship and exhibit space. When feasible, Exhibitors will have their name(s) appear on pre-auction print and media advertising. Balance is due before occupying space.
Exhibitor may display and sell new merchandise only, as long as display is within bounds of good taste as determined by the Promoter. No used merchandise will be allowed in Exhibitor’s rental space. Exhibitor is responsible for any tax, licenses, fees, or other obligations as required for doing business by state law. Exhibitor is solely responsible for the space assigned. The Promoter nor the property owner is responsible and will be held harmless from any loss or theft to any person or damages thereto.
Exhibitor will furnish customers with a paid receipt for items or merchandise sold. Customers may be required to present receipt upon leaving the facility. Please note that the Exhibitor is responsible for advising his customers of such and that purchased items may not be carried throughout the building. (Early or large purchases should be held by the Exhibitor until customer is ready to leave the facility)
Promoter has the right to place reasonable restrictions on noise coming from any Exhibitor’s booth or personal conduct of Exhibitor and/or his employees.
No food concessions may be sold by any Exhibitor. The property owner has an exclusive food vendor for all events.
Should said premises be destroyed by fire or the elements, or by any other cause, or in the case of government intervention or regulation, military activity, strikes, or any other circumstances that should make it impossible for the Promoter to conduct said Event at the time and place provided, this agreement shall terminate and Exhibitor shall and does hereby waive any claim for damage or compensation except the Promoter return of the amount paid, after deduction of actual expenses incurred in connection with the Event and there shall be no further liability on the part either party.
Signed Contract and non refundable fifty percent (50%) deposit is required to reserve Sponsorship and Exhibit Booth Space. Exhibitor’s authorized Signature below is an acceptance of the terms and conditions of this contract, the Promoter, and the property owner.
