Kerr-Lina Kat Fishing Team

When we're not working on an auction, you can usually find us wetting a line for monster catfish.  Phillip, the Auctioneer, and Ring-man Roger Hall are members of the Va. Catfish Association and compete from February through November on the VCA tournament trail.  Club tournaments are usually held monthly.  Two "open" tournaments and a year-end, two-day VCA Classic are also held.    The team along with fellow VCA angler, Willy Ernstes, won first place honors and the Lunker Award at the June 16-17, 2001 VCA Tournament held on the James River, at Hopewell, Va.

In June, 2004, Phillip fishing alone, won 4th Place in the Hunter's for the Hungry Catfish Tournament at Kerr Lake with a 28.02 lb. Flathead.

In 2003, Phillip and Roger won the VCA Tournament on the Chickahominy River, in Charles City County, VA, near Williamsburg!

Phillip and Curtis Riley also took top Blue Catfish Honors in the Halifax Catfishing Tourney in May, 2003, with a nice Blue Cat.

Phillip, Jennifer, and VCA member Larry Taylor took 5th place and Jennifer took Top Lady Angler with at the Mr. Whiskers Tournament Trail Tournament at Kerr Lake in June of 2003.

The Kerr-Lina Kat Fishing Team hits the water on a 19ft, 96in. beam Polar Center Console Fishing Boat, with a 70 HP Johnson Engine.  Eight rod holders and custom built large livewells make this an excellent catfishing boat.

We practice CPR...(Catch, Photo, and Release), so all tournament fish, including the ones in these photos were released alive and kicking in accordance with the Virginia Catfish Association's Rules and Regulations.
